The Ramirez family on the field at Ilani's senior night
Hello from Papi

Casa RamFam

Anchored in Christ

Papi Filipino. Judy Mexican. The girls Mexipino. Cream, clay, gold, and sea — both sides of the house in one place. Faith first, family always.

First week — how we use this

Everybody has one job

  • Judy — type this week’s meal on Home. Flip who’s home tonight if you know.
  • Ilani & Anayah — open your page, check GCA Friday, add one to-do.
  • Angeli — look at Calendar for soccer vs cheer. Tell Papi if a time changed.
  • Roguen / whoever is with him — photo of his school project on his page.
  • Papi — keep Friday driver + status honest on This Week. Don’t overbuild yet.

Pictures you take stay on that phone until we put the board in the cloud. Same file, same folder as the family photo.

    Our Anchor

There's a real fight going on — spiritual and physical — and this is where we keep straight what we're sure of, and what we're chasing.

    Both sides of the house

    Mexican · Filipino · Mexipino

Papi carries the Philippines. Judy carries Mexico. The girls carry both — Mexipino. Sea-green and gold from his side, clay and marigold from hers. Christ is the anchor. The table is both kitchens.

    The Assurance We Stand On

We don't hope our faith in Jesus is true — we're assured of it. That assurance isn't a feeling that comes and goes with how the week is going; it's the ground everything else in this family stands on.

    Walking It Out

Walking in His commandments isn't a checklist — it's how that assurance shows up in real life: in how we talk to each other, how we treat people who can't do anything for us, how we love the people right in front of us before we love anyone far away.

    Our Anchor in the Chaos

Life doesn't slow down and the fight doesn't let up — spiritually or in the everyday grind of six people's schedules. He is our anchor. Not because things calm down, but because He doesn't move when everything else does.

    The Legacy We're After

We're not chasing a perfect family — we're pursuing the example of Christ, and we want that pursuit to outlast us. That's the legacy: not that we had it all together, but that we kept walking toward Him and brought each other along.

    Papi's Why

Things run well when everybody knows the plan and knows they're not doing it alone. That's what this board is for — one place where our family can see what each of us is working toward, what we believe, and how to reach out and be part of it. Faith first, family always, and room to actually enjoy the ride.

    This Season

    • Leading this family's walk of faith
    • Being present for games, school, and the table
    • Building the home we want the kids to remember

    Values I'm Living

    • Presence — showing up for the kids, not just providing
    • Integrity — same man everywhere, starting at home
    • Faith — leading by example, not just instruction

    This Season

    • Cheer — GCA Lions football
    • Finalizing college choice for Athletic Training path
    • Belmont campus visit — Wednesday, September 2
    • Keeping ACT score in play for scholarship tiers

    Values She's Building

    • Discipline — sticking with the plan through senior-year fatigue
    • Wisdom — choosing the smart long-term path over the easy one
    • Faith — trusting the next step even when it's a big move

    Goals

    • Land on a final college decision this year
    • Push ACT toward 26+ (opens Crosland/Belmont merit tiers)
    • Log 50–100 AT observation hours before enrolling
    • File FAFSA the day it opens in October

    GCA Cheer — Lions Football

Bottom line: WKU is not “out of state priced.” TN first-time full-time freshmen get the Kentucky in-state rate automatically (Border State Scholarship — no extra app). HOPE still does not pay at WKU. Belmont wins if commuting + HOPE + staying home is the priority. Samford is faith/culture, not an AT-program choice. License finish line is still a 2-year CAATE master’s — MTSU is the closest.
